Dimotec Contrôle
End-to-end platform: quote generation, in-person client signature, mission orders, and a loyalty wallet — all in one tool.
— The challenge
What we walked into.
Dimotec's field technicians juggled three tools — quotes in Word, signatures on paper, mission orders by email — and lost hours per intervention. Clients had no loyalty incentive and the back-office re-typed every quote into the accounting system. They needed one platform that does it all, from the van.
— Approach
How we shipped it.
- Designed a mobile-first quote builder with templated line items and tax handling.
- Wired in-person digital signature with timestamped PDF generation and email delivery.
- Auto-generated mission orders from signed quotes — synced with the technician roster.
- Built a points-based loyalty wallet with referral codes and a customer portal.

Digitizing field operations: quotes, signatures and loyalty in one platform
Field-service businesses — inspection, maintenance, installation, repair — are still routinely held back by paper. Quotes in Word, signatures on a clipboard, mission orders by email, and a back-office that re-types every line into the accounting system. The cost is invisible and enormous: lost hours per intervention, lost margin per quote, lost customers to faster competitors.
Dimotec Contrôle asked us to fix exactly that. We built a single platform that follows the technician from the van to the client's site and back to the office: a mobile-first quote builder with templated line items and tax handling, in-person digital signature with timestamped PDF and automatic email, auto-generated mission orders synced with the technician roster, and a points-based loyalty wallet to bring clients back.
Technically, the platform runs on TanStack Start with a Postgres backend, PDF generation server-side, and integration with DocuSign-compatible signing. Everything is responsive-first because every technician uses it on a phone or tablet — but the back-office gets a richer desktop dashboard for planning, invoicing and reporting. Offline edge cases are handled gracefully: a technician can finish a quote in a basement and sync it the moment they come back online.
The pattern generalises far beyond inspection. Any field business that today juggles quote tools, signing tools and dispatch tools — HVAC, telecom installation, real-estate diagnostics, fleet maintenance, B2B services — can collapse all three into one platform their technicians actually like to use, and watch the margin per intervention follow.
Project FAQ
- What is field-ops software?
- Software that follows a service worker outside the office — quoting, signing, dispatching, reporting and invoicing — across phone, tablet and desktop.
- Does the in-person signature have legal value?
- Yes. We generate a timestamped, hash-sealed PDF and store the signing audit trail (IP, timestamp, signer identity) — equivalent legal value to standard electronic signatures across the EU.
- How does the loyalty wallet work?
- Clients earn points on signed quotes, redeem against future interventions or services, and get a referral code. The points engine and customer portal are built in.
- Can it integrate with our accounting software?
- Yes. We can export signed quotes and invoices to Sage, QuickBooks, Pennylane or any tool with an API — eliminating the back-office re-typing step.
